2016 Introduction Day

1, Introduction

SPE HUMG student chapter organized this event with the purpose:
· Introducing the new board members.
· Introducing SPE section, HUMG SPE student chapter, the main purpose.
· Introducing new plan 2016 – 2017.
· Introducing and sharing about member’s benefits.
· Recruiting new members and volunteer.
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30pm, May 10th 2015
Venue: 300 Hall, HUMG.

2, Activities

     5:30 pm, we were glad to welcome students to join this event. They can register to become SPE member through our offline form.

     6pm: Introduction day 2016 officially started. 

     6:10 pm: Pham Minh Tuan – former president of HUMG SPE SC 2015 – presented about history of oil and gas industry and the outstanding activities of chapter in last term. Besides that, he also supply some valuable resource of website which can be accessed when you become SPE member.

     6:20 pm: New president, Ngo Cong Tuan Anh, had an interesting speech about new plan for this year as well as the benefit of SPE members.

     6:55pm Dr. Mai Thanh Ha began his speech. He gave audients plenty of useful information about oil market in Vietnam as well as in the world. Furthermore, he clarified the requirement from employer to graduated student and the difficulties they need to face after graduating. Besides that, students asked their confusion.

     7:30 pm this event finished.

3, Conclusion

    After this event, HUMG SPE Student chapter is received the caring of students in and out of HUMG. We got nearly 50 application form to become HUMG SPE members and the other for volunteers. 

On behalf of HUMG SPE Student chapter, we would like to give our special thanks to oil and gas department, Dr. Mai Thanh Ha as well as SPE Vietnam section who helped and supported us this this event. We hope to receive more support from SPE Vietnam section and lecturer in our future activities.
