Insights for Free – Sharing and Discussions with SPE Vietnam Young Professionals
To all SPE Vietnam young professionals (YPs), the so-called millennial generation, this is our first industry downturn. Worse still, arguably, it’s the worst.
How are the recent graduates dealing with the downturn in Oil and Gas? Have their career expectations of higher salaries, travel and burgeoning opportunities been dashed or has the swathe of redundancies made the long-term prospects for survivors even brighter?
To get their perspective, SPE Vietnam YPs invites a number of recent graduates who successfully landed a job in Oil and Gas industry to facilitate discussions on “Millennials – The Downturn Survivors”. During this sharing and discussion we will look at the impacts felt by YPs: on the struggles during their job hunting, on their career prospects, on challenges to learning and skills development, on the promises from technology and their suggested forward steps.
