SPE Vietnam New Section Chairman

Dr. Do Van Khanh is now SPE Vietnam Section Chairman.

     Do Van Khanh is currently Chairman of Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) which he founded and developed successfully during 16 years of his career as President and CEO since 1994. PV Drilling is a professional provider of drilling rigs and drilling-related services as well as manpower supply for onshore and offshore drilling operation. Over the past years, PV Drilling has developed significantly and becomes one of the leading subsidiaries of Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and a prestigious drilling contractor in the local and regional market.

     Having started his career in 1984 as a Drilling Engineer with Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group, Do Van Khanh then made admirable achievements through numerous technical, commercial and leadership positions. Prior to his current role, he held senior management positions including CEO and Chairman of Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) which is main exploration and production arm of Petrovietnam. Previous to these roles, Do Van Khanh was President and CEO of PV Drilling.

     Beside, Do Van Khanh has become a member of BOD of SPE Asia Pacific since 2010 and had important contribution to SPE members and the wider oil and gas industry in the region. In January 2017, he has appointed a council member of SPE Asia Pacific Advisory Council.

     Do Van Khanh holds a Bachelor of Science in Drilling Engineering and PhD of Petroleum Geology from University of Mining and Geology.
